Exodus 33:14-15 And he said, "My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest." And he said to him, "If your presence will not go with me, do not bring us up from here."

Reflection

James Gilmour's insight beautifully echoes Moses' plea, revealing the core of the life of faith: what truly matters is not the journey or the destination, but whom we walk with. We often tend to plan our lives according to our own will, falling into anxiety when we encounter storms and 'deep waters.' Yet, God's presence is our most secure anchor. When we lay down our own cleverness and desire for control, willingly letting the Lord guide our steps, His grace will make a way for us even in deserts or dark valleys, bringing deep peace and ultimate joy.
