Daily Devotion

“In these remote mountains and valleys, the Creator has hidden so many wondrous masterpieces. Each time I discover a new species, it's as if I'm reading a new footnote of divine wisdom on an unopened page of life. Nature is not the enemy of faith, but rather a second book written by God for humankind.”

Armand David · Father David's Diary

Scripture

羅馬書 1:20 自從造天地以來, 神的永能和 神性是明明可知的,雖是眼不能見,但藉著所造之物就可以曉得,叫人無可推諉。

Reflection

Tan Weidao is hailed as the "Father of Giant Pandas," but he is also a pilgrim who seeks God in nature. He tells us that ministry is not limited to the church pulpit, but can also take place in field research and scientific discoveries. When he records each new species, he is actually bearing witness to God's "life archive." Reflecting on our work or daily care for our families and environment: do we also possess eyes that can "discover miracles"? If we could, like him, perceive God's wisdom in the wonders of all things, then our professional research and daily chores would all become a sacred act of worship.
