Daily Devotion
“My life has been like a long journey home. All the knowledge, law, and philosophy ultimately lead to that simplest word: Father.”
John C. H. Wu · Beyond East and West
Scripture
Luke 15:18 “I will get up and go to my father and say to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you;’”
Reflection
Mr. Wu Jingxiong once remarked that all scholarship and law ultimately lead to that simplest word: "Father." In the busy spring season, we often lose our way amidst the complexities of daily life, technological advancements, and the planning of livelihoods. However, true wisdom is not about accumulating more knowledge, but rather, like a child returning to its father's embrace, rediscovering that inner simplicity and steadfastness. Reflecting on the present: Am I striving for a living, or am I steadily progressing on the path of truth? May we penetrate the clamor of the world and, in our ordinary labor, recognize that peace that transcends all things and returns to our origins.
