Daily Devotion
“We must experience loss to understand the weight of what we have; we must also experience searching to understand the profound meaning behind those ordinary objects.”
Saint-Exupéry · The Little Prince
Scripture
Ecclesiastes 3:1, 6 There is a time for everything, a season for every activity under the heavens. ... There is a time to seek and a time to lose, a time to keep and a time to give up;
Reflection
Life's script never plays out according to our plans. Yesterday's rushing, anxiety, and futility, seemingly pointless losses, are actually God training our humility and patience in the rhythm of "lost times." The driver's license hidden in our passport, revealed at the juncture of "found times," makes us realize that grace has never been absent even in our most anxious moments, only present in a hidden way. This turning point breaks our obsession with control, teaching us to revere the "time" that is higher than man, to see miracles in all things going smoothly, and to recognize sovereignty in the mundane routines of daily life.
