“When Jesus spoke of “the sheep in another pen,” he was not expanding the religious boundaries of the Jewish people, but rather proclaiming a disturbing fact: the Kingdom of God would enter into the community of those who thought they already knew God but had not yet truly known the Son; therefore, the target of missionary work was never just pagans, but also those who had religion but no gospel.”

John 10:16 “I have other sheep that are not in this pen. I must bring them, and they too will listen to my voice, and they will be a flock to one shepherd.”

Reflection

Jesus' words about "other sheep" showed me that God's Kingdom is not confined by any religious tradition. People can be zealous and pious, but they may not truly know the Son or hear the Shepherd's voice. Those who truly need to be enlightened are not only unbelievers far away, but also myself, who thought I was already in the circle but gradually lost my reverence for the Gospel.
