“Spiritual joy is often not found at the peak, but rather accumulated slowly in faithful walking day after day.”
Eugene Peterson · Running Towards the Benchmark
Scripture
Mark 4:26–28 The kingdom of God is like a man who sowed seed on the ground. He slept at night and rose in the day, and the ground sprouted and grew. But the man did not know how it was done. The earth produces grain naturally: first the shoots, then the ears, and then the ears of grain, full of seeds.
Reflection
We often think that spiritual value lies in visible results, but we overlook the rhythm of God's work. The Gospel of Mark reminds me that God's kingdom is not driven by human anxiety, but grows quietly in daily obedience. Today's repairs, pick-ups, and companionship may seem to lack spiritual peaks, but they are precisely the times for sowing and waiting. True maturity lies not in how much change I see, but in whether I faithfully live in every moment entrusted to me by God.
