Daily Devotion

“God's deepest work often happens where people cannot see it. When you think He is silent, He is actually shaping; when you think He is retreating, He is actually preparing; when you only see darkness and stagnation, God is already in the shadows, arranging the next step of light for you. God is not in a hurry to prove His works to people; He is more concerned with preparing people to receive the grace He will bestow.”

George McDonald · Unspoken Sermons

Scripture

Isaiah 45:15 “Truly you are the God of Israel, the Savior, a God who hides himself.”

Reflection

We often expect a God who responds immediately and reveals Himself clearly, yet we feel uneasy in silence and unseen presence. However, the Bible reminds me that God's concealment is not absence, but rather His way of working. When I thought my path was blocked and my prayers were silent, God was actually working in the darkness of my life, shaping my faith and expanding its capacity. True trust is not about following only when we see, but about choosing not to leave even when we don't understand.
