“The main question isn't "How do we hide our wounds to avoid embarrassment?", but rather "How do we use our pain to serve others?"”
Henry J.M. Nouveau · The Wounded Healer
Scripture
Philippians 2:3–4 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vanity, but in humility value others above yourselves. Each of you should not look to your own interests but to the interests of others.
Reflection
This passage reminds me that true service is not about showing off or winning praise, but about drawing strength from Christ's humility and self-sacrifice. When I crave others' approval, vanity still lingers in my heart; when I focus more on my own needs, I neglect the community that God loves. Christ sees others as better than himself, while I often place myself at the center. I need to learn to be renewed from within, so that service is no longer a task or a means of self-affirmation, but a life outflow based on love, humility, and obedience.
