Daily Devotion
“When failure seems impossible and the difficulties seem to grow, that is when faith comes into play. And when God Himself overcomes the difficulties for us, we know even more clearly that it is not our own actions that have accomplished all of this, but His work.”
George Müller · George Müller's Autobiography
Scripture
2 Corinthians 12:9 He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
Reflection
When faced with difficulties, I often instinctively rely on my own strength, trying to see a feasible path, control the outcome, and ensure safety. But God often invites me into a deeper faith—not faith in my own abilities, but faith in His presence—at moments when "seeing is failing." The more difficult the circumstances and the more powerless I feel, the clearer it becomes that the true driving force behind the work is God, not me. Difficulties are not evidence of God's departure, but rather a stage for Him to demonstrate His power; only when I am powerless can He fully reign in my life.
