“He knew that he was as weak and helpless as God had declared him to be; yet, paradoxically, he knew that he was more valuable in God's sight than the angels. He had nothing in himself, but everything in God.”
A.W. Tozer · 《The Pursuit of God》
Scripture
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. Therefore, for Christ's sake, I take pleasure in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficult circumstances. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
Reflection
Paul's testimony reminds me that true strength comes not from my own efforts or qualifications, but from allowing Christ's power to fill me as I acknowledge my weaknesses. The world often teaches us to hide our shortcomings, but God wants us to rely more deeply on Him through our weaknesses. When I let go of my pride and acknowledge my nothingness before God, He becomes everything to me. Weakness is not a shame, but a means of grace.
