“Another thing, wherein gracious affections are distinguished from others, is, that they are attended with a change of nature. ... Scripture

Romans 6:1-2 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? God forbid! We who died to sin, how shall we live any longer in it?

Reflection

True grace not only forgives my past sins but also continually renews my heart, freeing me from slavery to sin. If I continue to be comfortable in sin, that is a manifestation of false grace. God's grace is powerful, enabling me to die to sin and live to God, bearing the fruit of holiness. May I not abuse grace as an excuse for sin, but rely on it to escape sin and walk in holiness.
