Daily Devotion
“Just as the sponge lies in the water, and the water fills the sponge, but the water is not the sponge and the sponge is not the water, but they ever remain different things, so children abide in Me and I in them. This is not pantheism, but it is the kingdom of God, which is set up in the hearts of those who abide in this world.”
Sadhu Sundar Singh · At the Master's Feet, ch. I "The Manifestation of God's Presence" (tr. Arthur Parker)
Scripture
Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Reflection
Today I reflect on "Christ lives in me." Faith that remains merely knowledge, identity, or verbal confession easily becomes a religious formality; but the Bible reminds me that true life is about letting Christ reign within me. Do my words, emotions, and decisions reflect His character? In the midst of busyness and stress, do I still put the Lord first? If Christ truly dwells in me, His love, patience, and humility should gradually flow forth. May I deny myself more each day, so that people see not myself, but the Lord's work in my life.
