Daily Devotion
“To begin every day with God is both our wisdom and our duty.”
Matthew Henry · Daily Communion with God
Scripture
Psalm 5:3, In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.
Reflection
Henry divides the day into three parts: the beginning, the course, and the end—each spent in communion with God. Mornings and evenings are inherently linked; being able to rise early often stems from a willingness to lay aside our tasks the night before and entrust them into His hands. Having finally managed to sleep early and rise early today, this quiet morning feels like a gift from God. May I not merely gain a morning, but continually reserve my first moments for Him.
